To identify format content suitable for acquisition to supply the network of production and licensing businesses and entertainment programming for exploitation by the Sales & Distribution team.

Assist in the preparation of all CIC cases with line manager.
Ensure through the team the timely communication of product pipelines, advise Sales and Channels teams, and IP Management on the status of all new projects and their editorial development and investment/acquisition status.
Log and maintain programme data for title tracking and end of month reporting. Following the progress of each title through the investment process up to transmission and delivery.
Ensure Regional Sales Teams are provided with full, sufficient and timely information for them to evaluate titles. Chase up sales teams where appropriate for information on projection figures on a regular basis.
Prepare investment cases including discounted cashflow forecasts and sales histories showing how each title will be exploited internationally. Demonstrate awareness of consideration of any versioning/special requirements required on each title.
Keep sales teams updated on all new projects and acquisitions. Provide further information on performance and ratings of programmes and supplying preview tapes and scripts where appropriate.
Maintain excellent awareness to identify and select the most compelling content and build and maintain a productive network and series of relationships with international programme-making and creative community.
Complete all necessary paperwork connected with the acquisition of rights, chasing up other departments as required to ensure payments to suppliers are made in a timely fashion.
Ensure that every programme bought fits the brand and meets the needs and the aspirations the format sales team and our global production network.
Ensure all third party acquisitions adhere to Commercial Policy Guidelines and remit.
Build and maintain profitable relationships with key suppliers, producers and potential co-producers worldwide.
Attend TV markets on behalf of company and conduct meetings with suppliers.
Knowledge and understanding of the international TV format marketplace, particularly entertainment and factual entertainment.
Wide knowledge of television programming, particularly entertainment and factual entertainment.
Understanding of the format acquisitions process in international markets.
Ability to evaluate and critique programming and to consider its international potential.
Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated with a proven ability to complete work in a timely manner.
Ability to oversee budget management, contract negotiation and other business affairs disciplines.
