Job Summary-Business Manager Marketing

Provide the necessary support to the Head of Business and Change by planning, leading and delivering specific business and operational projects across the Brand Marketing Team ensuring timely delivery of key priorities through expert advice and progress tracking.

Business Management

• Work with the Brand Directors on annual budgeting planning liaising with Marketing Planning and Finance as appropriate
• Provide ad-hoc support to Brand Directors to develop briefings and presentations as appropriate.
• Coordinate the Brand Marketing annual objective-setting process and performance reviews of the progress against these objectives. Compile monthly status reports.
• Be the Business Continuity plan holder for Brand Marketing and the Central team, working with the Head of Business and Change Management to ensure that the team is well prepared and rehearsed to respond to a business continuity incident.
• Maintain an overview of team arrangements concerning Health & Safety, Data Protection, Fair Trade, FOI.
• Lead, co-ordinate and have an overview of all mandatory and PDP-specific training for the team.
• Be the key contact and lead on all accommodation matters for the team
• Represent the team on the Business Managers Forum.
• Maintain an overview of all EFT and headcount matters liaising with Finance and HR. This includes keeping organisational structures up to date
• Be the first point of advice for all SAP queries from within the team, outside companies.
• Take the lead on SAP support, raising Purchase Orders as appropriate.
• Take responsibility for ensuring all new joiners are set up with the required IT accounts, accommodation needs and other induction requirements, and maintain staff records where necessary.

• Full understanding of editorial and other compliance policies and knowledgeable on Health and Safety, FOI and Data Protection.
• Understanding of company Brands, and knowledge of the industry and a demonstrable interest in its output.

Skills
• Operationally proficient, able to embrace change, and make improvements to working practices.
• Able to demonstrate awareness of business and organisational sensitivities and reflect this in approaches to issues and problem solving.
• Excellent project management skills – ability to initiate, plan, manage, deliver and review projects.
• Excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across organisational boundaries to build and lead high performing teams.
• Excellent negotiating and influencing skills, both face-to-face and in writing.
• Excellent communication skills - articulate with the written and spoken word.
