The Certifying Engineer is responsible for accomplishing designated maintenance requirements on THE COMPANY and any contracted customers' aircraft. The primary objective is to ensure the continued safe operation of the aircraft by achieving and striving to exceed, the standards of airworthiness set by Corporate and Airworthiness Authority policy, procedures and requirements.
Accomplish designated maintenance requirements on company aircraft and contracted customers aircraft
Ensure standards of airworthiness set by the CAA and other applicable regulatory bodies are met
Responsible for the quality standards of maintenance tasks
Accomplish and administer the operational maintenance activities in an efficient manner
Responsible for accurate certification and processing of aircraft and component technical documentation
Liase with Engineering stores to requisition aircraft spares
Continuous liaison & communication with all parties involved in operational turnaround requirements
Ensure all maintenance tasks carried out are accurately recorded in both technical log and in company maintenance database
Lead technicians in accomplishment of routine maintenance and defect rectification tasks
Previous demonstrable supervisory skills/experience or evidence of "Acting up" in a certifying engineer capacity
Approvals held on one of the following aircraft: A340-600 (RR Trent 500) A340-300 (CFM56-56) A330-300 (RR Trent 700) or B747 (GE CF6-80)
EASA part 66 B2 licence
Recent line maintenance experience
Proactive attitude and the ability to plan ahead
Drive to get the job done efficiently
Excellent communication skills
Be able to demonstrate strong team working abilities
Ability to inspire confidence in others when tackling problems/issues
