Job Summary-Clerk job description

Responsible for the receipt and despatch of mail, production and dispatch of forms, maintaining the record of correspondence, providing a typing service to the Central Ticket Office, processing Fixed Penalty Notices, including HO/RT procedures, management of the department`s stationery requirements and dealing with telephone calls relating to any of these matters.

g) Inputting summons information onto the Court computer, preparation and despatch documents relating to the serving of summonses.

h) Maintaining the team`s filing system.

i) Input of Endorsable and Non Endorsable Fixed Penalty Notices to the CTO computer system, including HO/RT data.

j) Managing the CTO stationery system, checking and issuing stock and ensuring sufficient stocks are held to meet potential needs.

Essential Criteria

1. Demonstrate a good level of verbal and written communication skills.

2. Proven experience of organising and prioritising tasks to achieve deadlines.

3. Proven ability to complete tasks achieving desired accuracy and quality standards.

4. Proven experience of dealing directly with private organisations and members of the public.

5. Evidence of self-motivation and enthusiasm.

6. Computer literacy and keyboard skills.

Desirable Criteria

1. Previous experience within a police or legal environment.
