The Commercial Executive is responsible for negotiating and drafting a range of contracts.
Main responsibilities-Commercial Executive job description
# 1. Supervising the drawing up and issuing information packs to Worldwide, Co-Producers and 3rd party distributors as investment is sought. Tracking responses to these bids for investment
# 2. Tracking responses to these bids for investment and maintaining the information on the departmental database.
# 3. Dealing with the exploitation of ancillary rights. Supporting the Commercial Manager in the development and maintenance of relationships, as well as hard selling.
# 4. Communicating clearance requirements to Production. Ensuring that Production understand clearance requirements, and that Production adhere to these requirements
# 5. Supporting the Commercial Director in presenting projects to investors for investment
# 6. Servicing the investors needs once they have the programme. Information supply for the programme to the investor
# 7. Managing the contracting process of JCPs and securing signatures in a timely fashion
# 8. Assisting the Commercial Director to ensure distributors are issuing market feedback reports in a timely manner

# 14. Delegating appropriate tasks to the Commercial Assistant
# 15. A regular presence within the relevant production departments, the locations of which may be outside London
# 9. Alerting Commercial Director when investment offers are due to expire
# 10. Researching new programme content
# 11. Assisting the Commercial Director in consolidating and commenting on performance reports for their genre i.e. how much investment achieved and why
# 12. Provide regular updates on the status of all third party negotiations
# 13. Deputising for the Commercial Director across the full range of their responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-Commercial Executive job description
* 1. Research and/or sales experience within the industry
* 2. A high level of computer literacy with extensive knowledge of databases and spreadsheet packages
* 3. An informed interest and enthusiasm for the factual programming
* 4. Understanding of need and motivations of programme makers
