* Work as directed by the Assistant Operations Manager/Operations Manager.
* Ensure the health, safety and welfare of staff under his/her control.
* Ensure delivery of the work bank safely, to programme, cost and quality.
* Timely and accurate reporting in line with the contract requirements as required by the Operations Manager.
* Responsible for overseeing the production of all method statements.
* Responsible for ensuring all staff carry out their duties in accordance with their Job Descriptions.
* Review and monitor the contract programme to ensure all deliverables under your control are met.

To manage infrastructure projects from award through to completion of the works and financial settlement under the direction of the appointed Operations Manager.
Main responsibilities-Construction Manager Job Description
* Ensure the final completion of the works is carried out.
* Ensure that all procurement items are identified and adequately placed with the procurement department to enable the contract programme to be carried out.
* The maintenance of the quality management systems for a project.
* Responsibility for site surveillance to ensure specifications and methodologies for delivery on contracts are complied with.
* Manage a retrievable project filing system in accordance with company procedures.
* Report weekly progress against programme; identify unplanned works and associated costs.

* To identify and secure the project team to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
* Hold overall responsibility for compiling Target Cost and meeting those requirements.
* Be responsible for ensuring depots work towards meeting all KPI`s.
* Be responsible for ensuring that performance reviews are carried out with all depot staff to identify any training and development needs including critical, personal and professional training. Also that succession plans are put in place.
* Manage all client interfaces.
* Overall management of the change control process and variation of scope capture.
* Deal with the recruitment of staff at depot level.

* Min 3yrs experience in similar environment
* Good commercial awareness/knowledge
* Ability to lead and motivate people to ensure compliance with all relevant technical, quality, environmental and safety standards.
* Previous project management/engineering experience desirable.
* Wide experience of industry or a complementary engineering environment.
* Excellent communication and motivation skills essential.
* Knowledge of computer systems desirable.
