To prepare, cook and present all food required in a large catering unit of the standard laid down by the company.

You`ll need experience in a high-volume, quality staff and hospitality catering establishment, the ability to contribute in a team environment and a Basic Food Hygiene qualification.
You should also combine a 706/1 & 2 qualification or equivalent with experience of applying current trends, menu planning and producing quality food within budget.
To prepare, cook and present breakfast type and call order meals and luncheons, as directed. Luncheons are of normal standard for staff restaurants, i.e., soup, choice of two or three basic entrees plus two or three vegetables and two or three sweets, hot and cold.
The ability to use an ADS Anker till is essential but training will be given.
In an 8 hour shift, to produce up to 40 call order / breakfast type meals or up to 25 luncheons, or a reasonable combination of both.

To prepare meals as specified in the Catering Services recipe book and portions specification book from a menu laid down by the manager/ess, chef or senior cook
To handle food in a hygienic manner, as laid down in current legislation.
To maintain good standards of hygiene in the unit
To maintain good standards of personal hygiene
To prepare vegetables as necessary
To prepare salads and snacks as necessary
To clean working area as necessary
Occasional
To defrost and clean deep freezes and refrigerators
To clean heavy and light equipment
To give assistance to senior cook / chef
To be fully aware of, and able to carry out the full duties of a catering assistant
