Managing a team of professionals, whose diverse work experience includes strategy consulting, marketing as well as other business areas.

The department also occasionally works on M&A and new business development work. Projects are typically three to four months in duration.

(a) Understanding the issues facing a client, helping his/ her project team to effectively come up with solutions;

(b) Structuring the client’s problem, planning and driving the process of coming up with the solutions;

(c) Helping coach and develop team members;

(d) Communicating effectively with people at all levels; influencing key stakeholders to adopt and execute against recommendations.

The department is structured to effectively ‘roll out’ Directors into line management positions.

The exposure they gain to business units and key leaders helps them determine the best opportunities for their individual career needs and build a network. The department is actively involved in the roll-out process.

Rollouts typically occur after 2 years, though the time frame can vary somewhat.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have an appropriate blend of progressively responsible business and consulting experience, with a demonstrated track record of results with a minimum of 3 to 4 years of post-MBA experience with a top-tier management consulting or services company

- Creative strategic thinker with the ability to advise and influence senior executives
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and complex engagements; ability to motivate, develop and coach teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Expertise in the ability of leading, influencing and building relationships across the organization
- Exceptional problem solving skills (issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, development of actionable recommendations)
