Under the direction of the Estate Supervisor, maintain the gardens to an acceptable standard and to create a safe pleasant environment.
Arboriculture Work.
Pruning large limbs and branches. Felling and crosscutting, mechanical wood chipping and shredding. Root removal, leaf collection and hedge trimming
Fencing and Draining.
Replace and repair existing fences.
Prepare ground for fence installation.
Excavate and maintain ditches.
Install land drains and clear out surface water drains.
Machinery Maintenance and Health & Safety
Playing Field Maintenance and Turf Culture
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-Gardener job description
Proven experience of effective performance within a similar environment (Essential)
Hold a certificate of competence in the safe use of pesticides, PA1 and PA6, and other related certificates (Desirable)
Hold a certificate of competence in the use of chainsaws, NPTC Units CS30 and 36, and other related certificates (Desirable)
