The Global Marketing Executive will take direction from the International Advertising Controller to assist with the
development and delivery of all global and multi-regional advertising campaigns across all media channels.
This will involve helping with the communication and implementation of a centrally agreed strategy to the regional markets and
then subsequently to work with the regional marketing teams to ensure this strategy is implemented on time and on budget.
The incumbent will also be a point of contact and representation for regional marketing teams. They help will ensure global
consistency in our advertising and conformity to brand guidelines.
Planning and Strategic Development
Support the International Advertising Controller by attending relevant meetings with the commercial team to fully understand business objectives globally
Gather information and requirements from local markets where asked, to help the International Advertising Controller feed into the development of global strategy and creative development
Once strategy and creative direction are agreed, support the International Advertising Controller in communicating this to regional markets
Work with the regional marketing contacts to develop a good understanding of regional markets both commercially and from a marketing perspective
Develop a good understanding of regional cultural and regulatory issues (from a marketing perspective) and flag any potential creative issues early in the development process
Support the International Advertising Controller in representing the voice of regional marketing teams in the UK and clearly communicate any issues and requirements, especially around media channel constraints and lead times
Help in ensuring the successful execution of the approved strategy and campaigns and provide final approvals when required
Work with OMD International to help identify global media opportunities and ensure all markets are aware of these ideas
Assist the International Advertising Controller in communicating both business and department strategy to regional marketing managers as well as UK marketing team
Responsibe for the timely and accurate updating of the quarterly marketing plan in advance of each financial quarter
Encourage and support innovative solutions to challenge the business through communications activity
Schedule and prioritise workloads and manage the effective execution of all activity

Ensure that all regional marketing requirements are captured
Once creative executions have been approved for global use, be responsible for helping with the delivery of the campaign across regional markets where applicable and helping to make sure that the ads are signed off by the appropriate person within the UK advertising team
Work with the global media agency (OMD) to be fully aware of media plans by country and work with the regional markets to understand the relevant lead times and execution requirements to ensure relevant creative work is available at the right time and in the right format
Where the campaigns can have an execution that contains more than one approved component (e.g. headline), be responsible for communicating the options with regional markets and ensuring the final copy adheres to agreed guidelines
The majority of creative approval and amendment will be done via an online asset management tool (TAG cmd). This role will involve being fully proficient in the use of this tool. In markets where broadband restrictions do not permit the use of an online asset management tool, creative amends and approvals will need to be done via email or other means
Assist the International Advertising Controller in ensuring the overseas markets receive any relevant assistance in the production of local campaigns and adhere to brand guidelines. While the majority of creative templates will be developed in the UK, there will also be a requirement to help regional marketing departments with any regional, tactical work they require
Be totally familiar with brand guidelines and ensure that all creative is in line with these guidelines
Be responsible for the timely reporting of the success of campaigns

Build and develop a good relationship across all our regional marketing contacts. This will involve travel when required to relevant markets, as well as being involved in global marketing meetings

Reporting and Analysis
Understand local tracking capabilities and where appropriate assist the International Advertising Controller in identifying relative success and failure of campaigns by market. Take these learnings and under the guidance of the International Advertising Controller, report on them as well as provide commentary and analysis to the broader advertising team where necessary
Ensure that any agreed learnings are implemented in future campaigns where applicable

Grow and maintain a good working relationship with the appointed Creative agency (Y&R), appointed Media agency (OMD) and with our global asset management agency (TAG CMD)
Attend and contribute in status meetings as necessary and ensure actions are documented and distributed
