Writes/edits press releases, awards applications, and news articles for external communications.
Undertakes miscellaneous assignments at discretion of Senior Director of Development.

Prepare and write documents for submission, proofreading, submitting to the funding source and follow-up.
Once the grant proposal is submitted, keep in contact with grant-making organizations during their review of a submitted grant application
Supply progress reports when required by a grant-making organization that has funded a project or program.
Completes detailed Planning, Deployment, and Results process to forecast and activate tactics to leverage high impact philanthropy outcomes.
Analyzes results quarterly, reports outcomes in Balanced Scorecard, and determines actions for next quarter.
Conducts research using the Internet, journals, and other sources to determine grant sources and governmental funds. [cont right]
-Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, or other related field.
-A successful track record of translating program opportunities into successful grant proposals that gains the attention of prospective grant funders.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of four years experience in grants management and/or communications environment, including project management, writing,
copy editing, proofreading. Graphic design skills a plus.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Strong writing and communications skills; ability to manage many concurrent projects at one time.
Familiarity with electronic databases, internet, email and prospect research.
Excellent writing and copy editing skills a must.
