The Head of Digital Products will lead the Digital Product team and will be a key part of an existing and new business team producing digital products and services such as websites, mobile/browser/tablet/OS apps, connected TV, digital content syndication, international licensing etc. This role will work across a multitude of international brands, programmes, talent and territories.
To own the user experience of all digital products and represent the user in product development
To be responsible for the continuing improvement of user engagement and loyalty
Driving design, layout and feature set of all products
Developing products for client solutions, licensing, and partnerships
Ownership of product roadmap across all platforms (inc web, mobile and connected TV)
To be aware of cutting edge developments in the digital product world and recommend appropriate product improvements
To take a key role in supporting the commercial proposition development of the above.
Lead, develop and manage the Digital Product team
Be the standard-bearer for digital product Excellence
Communicate the overall product objectives to the Digital Product team and ensure they are met.
Ensure the Digital Product team are aware of their individual objectives and measure them against those objectives.
Ensure the timely flow of products and propositions to support Business Development
Own the Traffic and Loyalty/Engagement targets for consumer websites in conjunction with Marketing and Editorial teams.
General
Represent Digital Publishing in matters of Product Development
Comply with all relevant W safety rules, procedures and guidelines.
Where appropriate, represent Global Digital Properties at relevant meetings.
Passionate and knowledgeable about digital products
Demonstrable experience of continuing optimisation of digital products.
Skilled in developing new, innovative digital product concepts, with regard to both consumer and commercial propositions.
Significant track record of working on commercial digital properties.
Leadership
Experience of leading and inspiring Product Teams
Ability to build effective relationships with commercial/editorial/technical teams and content creators/talent.
General
Good organisational skills and the ability to oversee projects from conception to delivery.
Knowledge of international digital markets, particularly USA and Australia.
Knowledge of the various current and upcoming digital publishing platforms including desktop web, mobile web, mobile apps, tablet and connected TV.
A passion for digital media. Ability to translate that passion into day-to-day projects.
Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure and to short deadlines.
Flexibility in working hours: happy to work evenings/weekends/travel if necessary.
