Job Summary-HVAC / Process Ventilation Designer
Responsible for the layout, design and specification of equipment for HVAC / Process Ventilation for industrial plants and their related infrastructure.
Main responsibilities-HVAC / Process Ventilation Designer
Providing design and technical support for the layout, design and specification of HVAC and/or process (ventilation) systems for industrial plants and their related infrastructure
Designing and drafting of equipment systems in 2D and 3D environments
Completing studies and reports; with a focus on providing recommendations for technical solutions.
Reviewing project documents for scope, and technical accuracy prior to issue
Establishing good working relationships and communication with area leads, department managers and clients
Travelling to local site locations for design and/or construction/commissioning assistance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-HVAC / Process Ventilation Designer
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Design technology
Minimum 2 years of relevant design experience in industrial plants
Industrial, mining, or smelting experience would be an asset.
Self-motivated with good leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Proven expertise using AutoCAD 2010 and knowledge of 3D design/drafting
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of project staff and management
Experience with 3D plant design in PDMS is considered an asset
Effective verbal and written communication skills
