1. To work with the Internal Communications Manager on the key projects of the department as required. This will include drafting presentations and writing blogs to setting up face-to-face events and advising on specific internal communications issues.
2. To proactively identify creative IC opportunities that are relevant to the brief and to lead on the implementation of these initiatives working with the wider communications network.
3. To support the IC Manager with the leadership programme of events
4. To advise and lead on divisional campaigns to support the divisions' overall communication strategies and objectives.
5. To produce set piece IC events as required and to work with the IC Manager in developing the content.
• Take, write and interpret project briefs from the IC Manager and senior level internal clients. Provide input on the most appropriate methods of delivery of the communication objectives for the project.
• Develop an annual divisional IC plan for the client areas to include milestones, dates and interdependencies with other divisions. Provide a content schedule to the Internal Communications Content and Channels team.
• Work with the IC Network and others to identify the best creative IC opportunities to engage staff. Develop the proposals with benefits, costings and risks.
• Project manage the requirements to deliver the Leadership and Engagement programmes.
• Build a network of relationships / contacts across the company who can assist in delivery of projects and campaigns.
• Develop the IC tools and templates required for divisional projects – briefing documents for events, emails, presentations and measurement.
• Ensure appropriate legal and contractual arrangements are in place when engaging any external suppliers.
• Comply with all relevant safety rules, procedures and guidelines. To be aware of responsibilities under the safety policy.
• Ability to plan, implement and manage a communications strategy.
• Experience of working with senior stakeholders and directors.
• Proven writing and editing skills. Sound editorial judgement, having worked across multiple channels.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including database management.
• Experience of working in a large, complex organisation.
