The Management Accountant (EMEA) will work with the Finance Manager (EMEA) to provide financial and non-financial information to
enable the business to make effective commercial decisions.
They will be key a point of liaison between finance (FAS, BIS, Group Finance etc) and the business, influential in helping direct the outputs of BIS and the way in which the business interfaces with the Finance departments.
The Management Accountant (EMEA) will ensure that the effective financial reporting and controls are put in place and managed
to cope with a rapidly expanding business including overseas subsidiaries.

Review of monthly management accounts, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness
To ensure that errors identified are actioned each month.
Work closely with BIS and provide direction where necessary to ensure accuracy of management accounts and balance sheet.
Co-ordinate the business to deliver quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and other long range plans as required.
Work with the FM to establish a strong financial control and reporting environment
Work closely with business analysts to provide financial support including financial modelling of new business proposals.
Manage relationships and interface with finance -BIS, IT, FAS and provide direction where required to ensure Channels transactions are properly recorded.
Communicating key financial terms and controls to non-finance staff.
NATURE AND SCOPE
The division has stretching growth targets over the next 5 years. The Management Accountant will be working very closely with the FM to ensure that the correct financial and reporting structure is put in place to allow the business to grow whilst maintaining effective governance, financial controls and performance reporting. This may involve setting up regional hubs overseas, foreign overseas subsidiaries and developing financial systems to support them.
The Management Accountant (EMEA) will be supporting the FM by working very closely with the regional teams to ensure that they are provided with the support to manage their existing businesses as well as developing their new initiatives over the coming years.
The Management Accountant (EMEA) will ensure that new metrics used to measure the performance of the business are kept up to date and that significant trends are brought to the attention of the FM and management team. This will enable positive challenge to the business heads to maximise business performance and ensure delivery of targets.
Excellent commercial finance background with strong planning, analytical and modelling skills.
Strong IT skills particularly Excel (preferably including macros).
An understanding of SAP would be advantageous.
The candidate should be a part qualified or finalist with a recognised accounting qualification (ideally ACA or CIMA) with at least three years experience or with a proven track record within a management accounting environment.
Capable of managing a busy workload, within a growing business.
Able to present and explain, both verbally and in written communication, financial statements and principles to a wide range of business users.
Be a self starter with a proven proactive approach and an eye for detail.
Keen team player with the confidence to develop good relationships at all levels across the business.
