Strategic Planning


To develop an effective overall marketing & press strategy

To develop specific marketing & press plans for each individual departments and their activities

To develop specific marketing & press plans to reach key target groups

 Overall Marketing and Press Activity

To manage the planning, production and distribution/mail-outs of all of 's printed and digital communications (brochures, programmes, posters, leaflets, flyers, invitations, press releases, headed notepaper, business cards, newsletters, social networking activity, e-marketing);

To manage and further develop 's website;

To manage and further develop 's digital marketing output and social media activity;

To manage 's customer database(s) - in line with the Data Protection Act - and maximise direct marketing opportunities;

To develop and manage specific marketing & press campaigns for special events

To manage, develop and ensure the implementation of 's branding and logos across the organisation and its partners, promoters and other affiliates;

To undertake relevant market research and audience evaluation;

To plan and implement relevant advertising campaigns.

Fundraising

To exploit new fundraising opportunities;

To maintain existing and develop new online sales opportunities;

To manage and develop the Friends and Corporate Members scheme;

To develop advertising and sponsorship opportunities within 's printed and digital communications and the website;

An understanding of a variety of digital and print communication and marketing methods

An extensive local, regional and national media contact list (newspapers, magazines, TV, radio)

Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to set and prioritise objectives and manage a heavy workload

PC and/or Mac literate

Web and print editing skills

Numeracy skills

Budget Skills

Creativity and flair

Experience

At least 3 years marketing experience in a managerial role

Extensive experience of people management

Experience of managing and delivering marketing & press campaigns

Experience of dealing with the media (newspapers, magazines, TV, radio)

Experience of creating publicity materials
Experience of leading social media campaigns
Experience of working within the arts sector

Personal Qualities
A keen interest in and knowledge of the arts and media
Ability to lead a team and to participate in its development
Highly motivated with a willingness to take responsibility
Ability to work under pressure and observe strict deadlines
Ability to use initiative
Attention to detail
