Forward planning as well as regular reviews of channel`s campaign performances, and presentations to the channel team
An audience focus to the whole campaign planning and evaluation process, understanding the motivations and viewing behaviour of our consumers.
Feedback to the Group Head on the strategic and implementational media requirements of the channels in your remit.
Keep abreast of media developments and market trends.
Liaise with external agencies to ensure integrated plans.
Line manage Assistant Media Planners, identifying & developing strengths, and supporting them towards achieving their objectives.
Be fully conversant with our On-Air scheduling and planning system, undertaking activities within it as required.
Managing unavoidable late changes to campaigns and schedules.
Assist with Network Media Planning projects as required.
Be involved in the development of new systems and processes
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Media Planner Job Description
Significant TV media planning experience gained within a broadcaster or an advertising/media agency.
Excellent numeracy, written & verbal communication skills.
Experience of influencing and working with senior managers.
Good knowledge of television audience planning and evaluation systems, and the ability to analyse, interpret and apply media research.
Good understanding of the role and function of channel in the context of both the commercial broadcast world and emerging platforms (i.e. VOD, Mobile, IPTV)
Highly PC literate with both Excel and PowerPoint presentation experience.
Ability to work well under constant pressure.
Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
