Network Engineer job description
Reporting to the Team Leader, the role holder will be technically competent in their area and will support the Technical Field Team in the implementation of installation, configuration and maintenance tasks on the network.
They will be required to participate in shift and callout rotas to support the business. The role holder will demonstrate flexibility and may be required to complete tasks normally undertaken by other members of the Technical Field Team.

Main responsibilities- Network Engineer job description
Implement hardware and software upgrades to meet capacity requirements
Perform configuration changes to increase network coverage.
Analyse and rectify faults on the network to meet defined service levels
Conduct maintenance routines on network equipment to ensure network availability, typically to include: Network investigations, System maintenance, Power & Plant routines,
Liaison with 3rd parties, customers and site providers to ensure completion of tasks.
Perform support tasks for the business to provide network availability, typically to include:Site acceptance e.g. BTS rollout and upgrades, Assist in the MSC/BSC integration process, witness/acceptance testing of power systems,
Complete site risk assessments in order to comply with company Health and Safety Policy
Assist in the coaching new and inexperienced staff to aid development.
Ensure all assigned equipment, vehicles and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) are maintained in good working order.

Essential to the job:
Must have a background within Telecommunications or a related industry.
Capable of working unsupervised or as part of a team.
Manual dexterity.
Desirable:
BTEC ONC/OND in an appropriate subject is preferable.
