Briefing Project Managers and Contract Managers across the Consulting Division on technical issues.
To provide support to major expressions of interest, tendering and business development activities.
To manage specialist sub-consultants` service delivery on projects and in support of tenders.
To actively input into the yearly business planning process.
To attend monthly management meetings and to brief staff appropriately regarding management issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Principal Engineer Environmental Job Description
Essential
BSc and preferably MSc in relevant environmental discipline.
Specialist knowledge and experience in one or more key environmental fields relevant to the highways, transportation and property market sectors.
Must meet requirements of Highways Agency Environmental Co-ordinator / Environmental Manager role, as defined within the Design manual for Roads and Bridges.
Chartered membership or equivalent of a relevant professional institution.
Computer literate in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and MS Project.
Desirable:
Experience in environmental and/or geotechnical management, business development and service delivery.
Experience in environmental assessment, design and management for major highways projects, with specific experience as Environmental Co-ordinator/Environmental Manager on a UK highways project
Experience in preparing and giving evidence at Public Inquiry.
