Programming Executive job description
1. Work closely with management on securing the best content for the channels
2. Where needed, negotiate with individual contributors and distributors for the acquisition of specific rights for all channels worldwide.
3. Build and maintain close relationships in order to secure content for the division.
4. Assist the Manager, Acquisitions & Content in developing an annual content acquisition plan for the division.
5. Manage the execution of the Global Channels PLAs with the various sales teams and ensure that all content is clear and delivered in a timely fashion according to deadlines.
6. Oversee the processing of all deals and release of information to relevant departments (Scheduling, Media Supplies, Press, Creative Services, Legal, Finance etc)

# Support any research required for new Channels on sales histories, available programming and current sales across genres.
# Assist in the contribution and appraisal of new business opportunities in terms of content.
# Jobholder and works closely with the Programming Team and Global Channels Division.
1. Proven administrative experience, preferably within a media environment: The applicant should have a strong administrative background, with experience of working in the TV industry, whether Free or PAY TV.
2. Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of content acquisition and rights within the TV industry. The applicant should be able to prove a thorough understanding of content acquisitions and rights and should ideally have some experience in buying for a Free or PAY channel.
3. Able to demonstrate an understanding of the PAY / Multi-channels TV business.
4. Deal negotiation experience. Some negotiation experience is essential, whether in content acquisitions or sales.
5. Excellent IT Skills on basic systems e.g. Word, Powerpoint, Outlook.
6. Experience of working with multiple channel programming budgets.
7. Extreme proficiency on Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
8. An ability to multi task and keep track of huge volumes of data. The role requires strong administrative, multi tasking and time management ability. There will be large volumes of data, including financial, to manage and track.
9. Strong organisations skills, ability to prioritise and demonstrate attention to detail
10. To be pro-active and demonstrate initiative
11. Good team player and experience of dealing with complex administrative tasks
12. Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels.
13. The role requires interaction with a wide variety of people across all levels of business. The successful candidate will be confident and professional.
