To provide specialist compensation support to the Managers within the Reward team
To support the development and implementation of an effective reward strategy which represents an appropriate return on investment and successfully attracts, retains and motivates the right people for the business
To assist on Reward team projects including policy development and new process implementation and to provide advice and guidance to the HR community as required.
To ensure the market competitiveness of the UK reward package by acquiring a detailed knowledge of the marketplace
To develop a detailed understanding of best practice in reward by building networks in the UK media industry, other UK sectors and the international environment
Provide comprehensive support to key reward initiatives including salary review processes, market benchmarking, functional remuneration and incentive schemes and policy and processes.
Proactively keep up-to-date with related People/HR and business issues and initiatives that may impact on the reward strategy and ensure relevant information is shared within the immediate team as appropriate.
Ensure that high quality market analysis based on valid benchmark material regarding the total reward package is available to Senior Management as required on the overall market position of company pay.
Support the Reward Managers in all Pay Review/Bonus activity; providing data reports and managing the data input/production requirements.
Support the Reward Managers on the development and implementation of new systems e.g. flexible benefits system.
Complete annual salary surveys, liaising with the reward team, HR and the business to ensure timely completion and return.

Prepare job evaluations using the appropriate job evaluation system (Hay/Towers Perrin) as required.
Develop an understanding of and provide advice on incentive compensation plans.
Manage the Staff Recognition scheme, including compiling reports for Senior Management.
Keep the Benefits pages of the staff intranet updated, liaising with external providers regularly.

Keep abreast of developments in the external compensation market amongst our competitors through reading, attendance at compensation Forums and participation in ad hoc surveys.
Build an effective network with key contacts inside and outside the company.
Manage the company People Feedback inbox, responding to all internal compensation and benefits queries.
Share knowledge and best practice with external network of contacts, where appropriate.
Deputise for the Reward Managers when required.
Qualifications / Experience-Essential
Strong analytical skills, with good experience of interpreting and producing high quality, accurate management information.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel at advanced level along with Word and Powerpoint at Intermediate level.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to demonstrate an understanding / or experience of, cost and benefit analysis.
Experience of operating with highly confidential and sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users clearly and concisely.
Experience of reviewing, implementing and maintaining efficient systems and processes.

Experience of working within an HR or Finance background would be an advantage.
CIPD qualification, (or working towards).
Experience of preparing job evaluations using systems such as Hay/Towers Perrin would desirable.
Experience of using MS Office Access.
