Job Summary-Senior Auditor Job Description
Planning and conducting reviews across the business, identification of key risk areas, reporting on your findings and agreeing recommendations with management. ensuring the high quality provision of assurance on the systems of internal control and on the efficiency and effectiveness of its resources. You will act as a champion of internal control, sharing expertise within the team and encouraging best practice behaviours across the business.
Main responsibilities-Senior Auditor Job Description
• Meeting people at all levels across the company to prepare detailed audit testing plans that focus on key risks
• Carrying out rigorous audit testing, flexing work plans in response to findings and emerging risks
• Agreeing issues, impacts, root causes and recommendations with management throughout the course of audit assignments
• Writing clear, concise, robust and balanced audit reports that require minimal re-drafting
• Taking a full role in any ad hoc tasks or projects required to meet departmental objectives
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-Senior Auditor Job Description
Applicants will have significant auditing or similar relevant experience. (Internal Audit experience would be a distinct advantage.) This experience will have included working in or with organisations of a comparable size or complexity.
Applicants will normally have at least one of the following professional qualifications as appropriate to the role:
• Qualified Accountant through a recognised professional body (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
• Member of Institute of Internal Auditing
• Certified Information Systems Auditor
Applicants who do not have direct audit experience may be considered if they can demonstrate a significant level of expertise in a required area of specialism, and have a proven track record in identifying process and control improvements. It is expected that these applicants will have strong experience in one of the following areas:
• Information Technology including experience of SAP
• Major Contract Management
• Major Project Quality Assurance
• Production Management
• Value for Money/efficiency programmes
