To assist in the design, specification, installation, configuration and maintenance of the ICT Infrastructure
To undertake as directed a variety of duties associated with the effective operation of the ICT Infrastructure, including design, user administration, fault finding, communications software, interconnectivity, and development.
To liaise with system support and development staff, suppliers and contractors in respect of new and existing systems and to assist with any contract management or system testing duties that may be required.
To evaluate the performance of various items of equipment, determine their suitability for specific applications and prepare reports as required
To undertake site visits to amend equipment configuration, install new hardware and software.
To prepare reports and make presentations in respect of information technology and systems to staff and outside bodies.
Build and maintain the ICT Infrastructure to meet the business requirements of the Organisation.
To represent the company at both internal and external meetings.
To ensure the installation and maintenance of the IT Infrastructure meets legislation and Organisational Policy.
To adhere to company standards, guidelines and working practices with regard to security, back up, installation, configuration, systems administration, data protection legislation.
To observe and promote safe working practices in adherence with company and Health & Safety standards/legislation in respect of all work carried out

HNC/relevant professional industry qualification or equivalent experience in related discipline. (Essential)
Knowledge of network products and protocols. (Essential)
Ability to install, configure and maintain Windows 2003/XP in network environment. (Essential)
Awareness of Windows 2003, server operating systems. (Essential)
Experience/Qualifications

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). (Desirable)
Experience in the use of network monitoring tools. (Desirable)
Experience in implementation / support of server and desktop operating systems. (Desirable)

Experience of developing processes and procedures for service-related technical tasks. (Desirable)
ITIL Foundation certification. (Desirable)
