Job Summary-Telemarketer job description

To obtain meetings to an agreed and acceptable level of both quality and quantity for the companys new business consultants and to maintain an acceptable level of meetings held as a ratio to meetings made as defined by the company from time to time.

Main responsibilities [cont]

Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals

Obtain names and telephone numbers of potential customers from sources such as telephone directories, magazine reply cards

Answer telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through advertisements.

Telephone or write letters to respond to correspondence from customers or to follow up initial sales contacts.

Conduct client or market surveys in order to obtain information about potential customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-Telemarketer job description

Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods of selling, demonstrating and promoting products or services.

Customer Service - Knowledge of principles of customer care.

Experience of telephone cold calling business to business

At least ONE YEAR sales experience necessary, i.e. business to business, face to face

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Active Listening - Paying full attention to what other people are saying, asking questions of clarification.

Speaking - Clear, confident communicator

Written word ability to communicate trough scripts to potential customers

Influencing-ability to influence the decision making of others

Computer literate- Ability to utilise compuetr systems to record and manage data.

Self-motivated.

Team player.

Ability to working to set targets/objectives.
