The Thermal Engineer will carry out detailed thermal design and analysis activities on various current projects.
Projects range from full spacecraft analysis, to product analysis, to detailed component analysis.
Provide the detailed thermal design, make hardware selection and define and participate in the thermal testing.
Produce design and analysis reports as required by the project.
Analyse, develope and test spacecraft, product and component
thermal control systems.
The spacecraft design includes Low Earth Orbit missions, GEO-stationary spacecraft, interplanetary spacecraft and
extraterrestrial planetary landers.

Understand products currently supported by the group such as antennae, mechanisms, cryogenic coolers and
spacecraft propulsion.
The responsibilities typically span the full project life-cycle from early conceptual design support through qualification and up to final delivery to the customer. In some instances, support is required to launch and in-orbit operations.
The Thermal Engineer will actively participate in the direct projects of the Thermal Architects and Responsible Engineers.
These direct projects may be commercial or institutional external projects, or internally funded R&D or process improvement projects.
