Main responsibilities-Trainee Accountant job description

 Providing a detailed month end reconciliation of actual overhead costs to budget, ensuring all overheads costs are accrued where necessary.
 Preparing, reviewing and posting of journals.
 Assisting in the production and distribution of the monthly financial reporting packs, including the collecting of key monthly statistics throughout the business.
 Performing month end reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts.
 Maintaining and reporting the Fixed Asset Ledger, including asset set-up, running depreciation and reporting variances against latest forecasts.
 Collecting and forecasting key monthly statistics throughout the business.
 Forecasting of overheads on a quarterly basis.
 Assisting in the preparation of the year end audit.
 Maintaining procedures introduced for ISO and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
 Other ad-hoc analysis work as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-Trainee Accountant job description

 Good written and verbal communication skills.
 Ability to work using own initiative.
 Ability to work to strict deadlines.
 Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word).
 Able to work and contribute to an evolving rather than established environment.
 Good team working skills.
 University Graduate (Business Studies or Accounting advantageous but not essential)
