Warehouse Operative Job Description

  Ensure all orders are picked and dispatched to the relevant destination
  Receive and put away stock in a timely and orderly manner with the use of manual handling equipment
  Load and dispatch orders as instructed in line with given targets and key performance indicators
  Ensure that any issues such as failures, shorts or re-bookings are escalated to your manager at the earliest opportunity
  Ensure warehouse procedural controls and processes are maintained in line with health and safety and good working practices
  Ability to work a rotating shift pattern of days and afternoons or a static night shift – shift premium is paid for these shifts, additional to the basic hourly rate
  Able to work any 5 from 7 days of the week, which will include weekend working on a regular basis during this busy trading period

  Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but full training will be given
  Previous history of good attendance would be advantageous
  Ability to demonstrate on a daily basis attention to detail / accuracy – identifying errors
  Good knowledge of safe working practices with ability to demonstrate on a daily basis
  Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team environment
  Ability to work weekends on a regular basis
  Due to the role being predominately order picking the successful candidates will need to be comfortable wearing a headset for the whole shift
