Job Purpose-Cleaning Supervisor Job Description
To supervise cleaning staff in a designated area to ensure a high level of service is delivered at all times for the benefit of all users.
Key responsibilities-Cleaning Supervisor Job Description
1- Motivate and encourage staff to work efficiently to achieve a high standard of work.
2-Monitor and audit cleaning standards on a regular basis in order to ensure the service level agreements are achieved.
3- Record and report staff attendance, sickness and annual leave. Deal with staff discipline and welfare issues as required.
4-Liaise with clients for special cleaning requirements.
5-Hold regular staff meetings, taking minutes of discussions/actions and communicate changes to cleaning staff
6- Ensure adequate supplies of cleaning materials and equipment are available.
7-Ensure that equipment safe to use and in working order.
8-To be fully conversant with all chemicals, equipment and safe systems relevant to area of work.
9- Adhere to health and safety and COSHH regulations, and relevant external, policies, procedures, standards and codes of practice.
10- Undertake and utilise training and development required for the role to enhance knowledge, skills and improve service delivery.
11- Any other duties appropriate to the grade and role of the person appointed

Extensive experience gained within the cleaning industry
Knowledge of health and safety and COSHH regulations
Qualifications, certification and training (relevant to role)
Good level of numeracy and literacy
