Digital Content Producer Job Summary

Working across the Design and Digital Teams, the Digital Content Producer will meet the organisation`s strategic aims by working across digital platforms such as the website, social media and advertising mediums, through creative digital animation and visual storytelling.
The Digital Content Producer will be a passionate, creative specialist with a keen eye
for design, and a strong portfolio of digital animation in the Adobe CC suite,
particularly in After Effects and Animate, as well as be proficient in editing video in
Premiere Pro.
They will have experience working within a marketing environment, with a background of delivering compelling, visually striking campaigns that tell powerful stories, for diverse international markets. They will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of engaging a variety of audiences, and how to leverage different platforms and mediums to create long-lasting and memorable visual campaigns.
The role will require keen strategic insight to conceptualise and deliver compelling digital campaigns, through bold animation and powerful, story-led content, seeking out captivating ways to portray brand and people. Seeking to further strategic aims, the Digital Content Producer will be constantly looking to explore new ways to push the boundaries of the visual identity, with an emphasis on driving audience engagement.
They will find compelling stories across the organisation and transport them to the screen in a vibrant, animated form. The role-holder will have excellent inter-personal skills, with demonstrable experience of a collaborative nature, identifying opportunities to bring people together, to draw out their strengths and elevate the content. Further, they
will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate to a wide
variety of audiences and to sell ideas to senior stakeholders. The role also
demands a strong command of the written word, creating and editing scripts for
animation voiceovers, documentaries, podcasts and the like.
The position will seek to create dynamic links between all of the organisation`s various engagement points, ensuring the story is told across multiple platforms, all whilst adhering to web best practice, and demonstrating a strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and CMA compliance.
The role will envision, direct, produce and edit appealing animated and video content
for use across digital platforms, demonstrating an excellent knowledge of current and
burgeoning online mediums. Further to this, the role will offer video support, such as
filming talking heads, across the organisation, and will have the opportunity to storyboard and produce videos that tell compelling student stories to wide audiences, in collaboration with the Marketing and Recruitment Teams.
The role will also offer support for hybrid events, delivered online such as through MS
Teams, and look to provide training to others to elevate their own skills in delivering live and recorded video content.
Main Duties and Responsibilities-Digital Content Producer Job Description
• Identify and tell compelling stories about the organisation through animation and
video content
• Design and deliver engaging animations using Adobe After Effects, to bring to
life to advertising, social media content and YouTube videos
• Bring the new visual identity to life in a way that the organisation and its
audiences haven’t seen before, through animation
• Be one of the main brand guardians, ensuring the brand is enforced and its importance understood
• Create compelling digital designs within the framework of the visual identity
and brand guidelines
• Work to create designs to a brief, and with consideration of the desired
outcome of the project
• Understand your target audiences when working creatively
• Work as a collaborative member of a larger Design and Digital Team and,
also working independently on projects with autonomy
• Identify stories to be told and then produce and direct video content to tell
them
• Produce online and hybrid events on MS Teams and other platforms, in
support of other colleagues
• Offer training to enable other members of staff to confidently deliver online
events
• Create animated web banners, social media graphics and other digital assets
for use on the web, apps and other digital platforms such as TV screens
• Work closely with the Web Developer and Digital Content and Social Media
Manager to develop the website visually
• Work closely with other teams across the Directorate to advise on projects,
steer creative ideas and recommend design and film routes to pursue
• A/B test designs and study audience engagement, using this knowledge to
shape future designs
• Keep up to date on digital design industry advances and new software
updates
• Keep up to date on competitors in the market, ensuring we are creating
competitive and compelling designs
Knowledge Skills and Experience-Digital Content Producer Job Description
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
Experience Designing within corporate brands in both print and digital
Proven skill in creative design
Designing with multiple audiences in mind
Strong understanding and experience of working with the Adobe CC Creative
Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Experience of working within a professional design environment
Experience collaborating within a larger Design team
Managing relationships with stakeholders
Working with design best practice in mind
Excellent communication skills, able to work with individuals from a wide variety
of backgrounds and at all levels
Working in a supporting role to senior design members
Knowledge
A customer-focused approach with good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
Ability to deliver work within tight deadlines
Ability to establish good working relationships and work as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Highly motivated, proactive and flexible
High level of IT literacy, including Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
